数学只包括数字吗？事实上，绝对不是这样的！许多中国学生数学都学得非常好，但是当理论知识变成在美国学校中要使用的术语和词汇时，他们将会不幸的度过一段异常艰难的时光。我之所以把这门课叫做“BMW”(就像宝马汽车的名字！)，是因为这门课程就像一部飞快的汽车，将你从中文的术语概念中带入到英文的术语概念中。这门课的本质就是将学生们所熟悉的一些概念用英语解释出来。如果一个学生想在美国的学校表现的出色也不想把自己排除在美国高中数学课上非常好的讨论之外的话，这门课是具有决定性意义的。
Mathematics involves just numbers right? In reality, that is not so! Many students in China do quite well in mathematics but when it comes down to the terms and vocabulary used in American schools, they unfortunately have a difficult time. I call it ‘BMW’ (like the car!) because the class is like a fast car that will quickly take you from Chinese terms to the American ones. This class is essentially taking concepts students may already know and interpret them into English. This class is critical if a student expects to perform well in America and does not want to lock themselves out of the great conversations in American high school math class!
