Introduction to English Literature
文学是一个民族历史文化的瑰宝，是语言花园里绽放的朵朵绚丽玫瑰。了解英语文学，不仅可以激发学生的英语学习兴趣，也能够陶冶情操，感受文学艺术之美。这门课程针对有一定英语基础的学生而设立，精选欧美经典名著，引领学生进入英语文学的殿堂。通过作者生平介绍、创作背景分析、精彩段落赏析等形式，帮助学生概览文学经典，为进一步自主阅读铺平道路，引导学生轻嗅玫瑰的芬芳。
Literature is a nation’s historical and cultural treasure and the blooming rose in the language garden. Learning English literature not only stimulates students' interest in learning English, but also cultivates their mind to feel the beauty of literature and art. This course is set up for students who have learned some basic English. I select European and American classics and try to lead students into the grand hall of English Literature. Through author biographies, background analysis and wonderful paragraph appreciation, I help students to get an overview of English literature. This will pave the way for further independent reading, and encourage students to enjoy the smell the roses.
